 Post subject: AD-4N Douglas Skyraider

The AD-4N that was in Birmingham, Al. has been moved to the USS Alabama Memorial Park. It is the one that came from France illegally into the USA. It was given back to the Navy and sent to Pensacola, then to the park. It's inside the hanger there. We just saw it Sat. while there on a Cub Scout overnight aboard the Alabama. It looks in excellent condition.

It ought to be. After all it was/is airworthy when uncle sam seized it.

I had hoped it would have stayed in Birmingham and would have returned to the air. It doesn't belong in a hanger! But uncle SAM thought different. :(

Not to start the same old battle, I agree that it is a shame, but the airplane was illegally brought in.
