Stopped by the tri-state warbird museum in Ohio this past saturday to look at the Fw-190 that is at the museum and noticed that the P-40 has arrived and it looks great. I will try and get some pics of it in the next couple of weeks.

So, who's -190 is it? I assume that it is a Flug-Werk airplane? More details if you have it.

Howdy All

The P-40M Serial No 43-5813 (RNZAF 3119) has arrived from New Zealand
after an exausting rebuild effort, for the new owners.
Mike Subritzky and team did a fantastic effort to meet Tri-State's standards and deadline. Tri-State wanted an Oshkosh winner !
There is still some internal work to complete by Tri-State's team, before the aircraft is ready to fly.

Will it be at Legends?

Will it have a Sharkmouth painted on it?

When will it be done?

When is the first flight going to be?

What's the serial number of the carburetor on it?

Does the owner offer rides in it for free? How about if I wash it once, then will he fly me in it?

How come the O.D. is not painted the right shade?

The owner should make it available for visitors to look at at any time.

I have about 100 hours of C-150 time, do you think the owner will check me out in it?

How come the back seat is not filled most of the time when it flies?

How come it's not in Pappy Boyington's paint scheme?

That's not a true M model, it has parts from 43-XXXX and 42-XXXX on it!

Like the markings, it's definitely nice to see something different (at least for the US P-40 scene). Look forward to seeing it at a show in the near future. Either that or I may have to make a side trip when I make my annual pilgrimage to Dayton this May :D

Looks like it may take a bit more work before it comes to Geneseo. Any idea as to the completion date?

If it's before July, then I need contact info for the airshow scheduler at the museum... it needs to be put on the Geneseo list.
