Sabredriver, this must take us to over a dozen recent links to Hyperscale. It's just a suggestion, but couldn't these all have been combined into one thread with a less cryptic title and some text to let us know what you found so interesting about the threads on Hyperscale?

Perhaps just posting a link to the Hyperscale forum would have let those who were interested know of its existence?

Since you've continued to ignore advice which would give your posts greater value, we're left with the impression that you're just doing this for your own amusement. After a series of YouTube threads Scott created the base theatre - resulting in you moving on to ebay as the source of your linkfest. Hyperscale now seems to be flavour of the week so I guess we'll get a link to every thread on there until your butterfly mind moves on to a new flower?

Robbo since your acting like the king horse here, what and WHO made you the one to dictate what comes on WIX eh.. SCOTT does if you dont read again...

If you dont like reading stories or photos PLEASE explain why are you here?

So far on this table of contents i see numerous topic so about time you went and read every topic and see if they are all warbird related too..

Why dont you be good now and go and harass some of these people... instead of been the first cab off the rank and harassing me.

Your a power hog i think and you should stay on your own aircraft forum and dictate there since you own it.. not dictate to other here what is right and not.

Sabredriver, when you do go so far as posting a stroy or even a sentence that isn't a rubuttal please be so kind as to let me know. If only you put half the effort into your on-topic posts (should you decide to make some).

If you bother to read the responses to your linkfests you find that I'm a long way from being the only one who holds this opinion.

Perhaps someone with some flair in photoshop could turn this into an LVP trophy for you?

HGUSCU,

(I have seen others refer to you as Sabredriver? but I am not sure you are? as his previous posts here and at the warbirdz forum as migrace? are far more substantial than just posts of links???)

I think Robbo is simply repeating a request may others have made, that you dont simply spam the WIX Hangar with links some of which may be relevent and some which are clearly off-topic.

It is not constructive to take a swipe back at Robbo, despite the feeling you probably have that everyone is ganging up against you?

The problem with providing a link, along with a cryptic Subject heading is that many people then dragged off to another site, need to wait for that site to open in a seperate window, and then identify what text or picture you may consider of is interest to those of us here viewing at WIX?

If the text/information, or other forum thread, or photo, are then found to be off little interest it generates a feeling of wasted time, and in a lot of ways duplicates the opening of an email, only to find its spam.

I and many others are approaching the point where we will not open your threads given the uncertainty of what they might contain, which is a shame since you obviously take the time to post them here in the view they will be of interest to others.

Can I suggest:

you consider providing a more informative subject line as to the threads contents?

you provide an introduction to the issue in your own words inside the post.

you consider cut and paste excerpts of the text on the site or link into your WIX post so people dont have to follow the link unless they are particularly interested in following the debate on another forum?

you consider copying the image you are linking to, rather than just linking to it, this can be achieved by right clicking on the image on the target site, selecting properties and then highlighting and copying its "Address/URL", pasting it into your WIX post and then using the Img Command in WIX to make it viewable within your post?

A Post, with a informative subject line, with an introductory text from its author, and then either a copied section of text, or a copied image, will allow people to scan your post quickly, and decide if they are interested in the issue/debate etc (however the informative subject line should assist in that as well).

By all means provide links to your source site, to acknowledge the originating site, and to allow others to follow it and gain further information, but please dont continue making your posts "just" links, as these are simply leaving us here in WIX with the choice of not bothering to open any of your posts, or to take a lucky dip on what and where the link will take them.

Unfortunately many people on dialup, or slow old computers do not want to follow unknown links off to other pages, and forums, and will simply stop looking at your posts.

The other aspect that is a reasonable request from many here to you, is to place similar links to the same forum, or source site, in a single post from you, rather than 3 or 4 in succession.

This is the second time I have provided the above comments as constructive suggestions to you, although you have continued to post links in response to many similar calls of concern.

I hope that you take heed of all of these, and take them as constructive and re-consider your position.

The suggestions I have made are common to most other WIX posts, and could be considered an appropriate ettiquite? or format to allow other wixers to quickly determine their interest and relevence?

Please consider and take into account the wishes and feelings of many of your fellow WIX users.

We all get to use this forum through the good work of Scott, and I am sure he would want to all to get along and be considerate of each other.

I would ask that you see through some of the personal criticisms you may have received here and try to understand the points of concern that are common to many of the responses your posts have been generating.

Surely if you feel the material you post and link is of interest and relevent to WIX you will wish to make it as accessible and interesting as possible?

Regards

Mark Pilkington

HGUCSU has been told many times, but he just doesn't care what 99% of the forum thinks. He is beyond help. I'm afraid the only way he will listen is a threat of a banning from the Mods.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

HGUCSU is the horse in this case.

:(

Mark, there's little doubt that HGUCSU and Sabredriver are one and the same. It's more than a coincidence that the annoybot showed up straight after he abandoned his Sabredriver identity after recognising what a level of scorn he'd attracted through his shameful series of ghoulish posts about the Hurricane crash at Shoreham. If he's made a complete tit of himself on another forum (I don't read Warbirdz) then it comes as no surprise.

Sabredriver, if you choose to just step out of this identity and create a new one again you'll still stand out like a sore thumb unless you heed the advice you've been given. It's been well-intentioned so please regard it that way.
