Warbird Information Exchange

I'm beginning to get to the age where my wife wants me to identify a place for my library to go if something happens to me.

It has some good stuff, like the complete collection of Putnam aircraft manufacturer series, a good selection of US civil aviation and some historic military books, a few Dash -1s and the like.
Also, a good selection of signed aircraft books/biographies...from the Orville Wright and Lindbergh to Doolittle, Rickenbacker, Don Gentile, Neil Armstrong and others. Even a signed copyof Fate is the Hunter.

Plus a framed piece of fabric from the 1903 Flyer....given to me by the Wright Flyer operation in Dayton and four framed fabric pieces from the Smithsonian series in the 1970s.

Ideally, I'd like to keep it as a unit and give it to a real museum to merge into their library...not some place where they'll yard sale it or put it on ebay.

Any suggestions?

Fagen Fighters in Granite Falls, MN has a really nice library in one of their hangars. I'll bet they would really appreciate them if you chose them.

The Jimmy Doolittle Center, located at the Nut Tree Airport, Vacaville CA is in need of a collection such as yours and would welcome the donation.
