Hi!

I need some help to put together a list of old, still active airfields.

"Our" airfield here in Norway (Kjeller airfield, near Oslo) is under threat from developers and we are using its historical value as an argument against that.

Flying at Kjeller started in 1912 and it has been active continuously since then.

My question is: How many still active airfields can beat that?

Being in San Antonio, TX we have the second oldest continuously operating general aviation airport in the United States known as Stinson Municipal Airport or Stinson Field. It's been in operation since 1915. I guess it'll be hard to find something to beat your airport.

The airfeild here at Omaka , Blenheim is an old and still active , grass strip. Also the ex AFB at Wigram , which is now a light aircraft strip.
Point Cook in Australia has just been saved from developers , so it maybe worth contacting the museum there and ask for pointers.

Close, but no cigar, is Fullerton Airport in the city of Fullerton, California USA (Orange County) which was active in 1913...

not sure how long the airfield at Point Cook in Victoria has been in operation but I know it still is and is, I think, the oldest still operating airfield here in australia. I am probably wrong but well..
