There is something to be said about the looks of a Mustang with a 3 bladed prop :D

How can you tell it's not an A-36? That's some big old bombs and rockets for a fighter!

1st ACG flew P-51As. There were no A-36s in Burma. Except for dive brakes I don't think there was to much difference between the 2.

P-51D carried more. 6 guns vs 4. Heavier capacity bomb racks. More rockets.

Are those 1000 lb bombs or 500 lbs ? Either way you sure wouldn't want to get caught be a Zero like that, unless you could get him in a head on salvo!
