Hi Dave,
I guess these must be for the former Canadian TBM on its way to Oz. From what I gather, the bomb doors for the TBM are very hard to come by. The CAF TBM based near me in Frederick, Maryland had to have it's bomb doors made from scratch, because none could be found at a reasonable price. Perhaps you could contact them to find out who made their doors.

Cheers,
Richard

Second what Richard said. Frederick CAF wrote a $17,000 check for the bomb bay doors. They just don't exist. Their old maintenance officer is at our field and I will see him and his guys on Thursday. I'll ask them where they got them then.

Hi

Dave - Have you asked Randall - he must know where any are.

Pete - The story doing the rounds here is that a guy on the Gold Coast unknown to me (I don't even know his name!) has bought TWO TBMs and a Bearcat (flying). It was a story but it was from a reliable source. Then the posts ran hot about the TBM coming here so I guess that must be where it is going to but I really don't know. The only Bearcat I know of is the French one being advertised by Courtesy in the States for US$1.8M (Dream on). I would like to believe all of this and I hope it's all true but it could just be going to one of the usual suspects

Kindest regards
John P

Classic Wings reported that former Forest Protection Limited TBM BuNo 53857 (as well as a second project Avenger) had been purchased by a Steve Searle of Southern Queensland.

Hi Oscar - good to hear from you again - I do hope you aren't really selling as I love your aircraft and have been to visit her twice this month - looks like her paint is getting a bit of a freshen up.

Kindest regards
John P

There have been 2 other Bearcats advertised for sale recently, Bill Anders Wampus Cat N800H (I think), (ex TFC & Warbirds of Great Britain) and the ex Whittington N14WB, these were however $2.1m and $2.5m respectively which makes the French one look like a bargain.....
