of a dataplate flying alongside a nonstandard B-24J...whatever the he11 that means. Shot these on the way to Stockton this morning. Two pretty cool machines. Funny how the B-24J looks just like the erection and maintenance manual published in '44...hmm the P-51C looks pretty similar to its book too. They are not the best quality...the co-pilot window is a bit distorted.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

S: Took hammer away from midget.

Cool Photos.
I had to lock the tailwheel down on Bald Eagle a few years back for a couple weeks.

I don't care what anybody says...that's a damed fine looking data plate...a lot better looking than any data plate at my house...

The tail wheel was locked down last week after some issues with it. They did not have time to jack the aircraft at that point and check it out, so they locked it down. They are doing a gear retract today, so the next round of pictures should have the tail wheel back where it belongs during flight.
