The Liberty Belle is heading home !

Wed Jul 16, 2008 4:35 pm

Having completed the mission Don Brooks set out to achieve and made a most welcome appearance at this years Flying Legends air show, the Liberty Belle is now heading back to the USA.

Taking a look at Fight Explorer earlier today she was mid-way across the sector from Prestwick in Scotland to Iceland.

Assuming all is well I would expect that they will refuel in Greenland and carry on to make landfall in Canada on Thursday.

Where ever she makes an appearance in the USA in the next few days, I hope people turn out to give the airplane and everyone involved a proper welcome home !

Then on Monday I was able to take my wife and Daughter along to see her at Coventry. One of the benefits of being a volunteer with the Classic Flight!
If anyone from the foundation reads this, please pass on our thanks to Tim for going out of his way to let us have a look around and also to Don Brooks and everyone else involved, thanks for bringing her across the pond for us to enjoy.
