Ways to make yard work fun...

Wed Jul 16, 2008 8:08 pm

Have Jack Roush's P-51's do a nice, tight fly-by. Old Crow (the C) and Gentlemen Jim just flew over my house holding a very nice formation (just for me :D ).
Unfortunately, I don't usually carry a camera on the lawn mower.

Made my day.

Similar thing happened to me many moons ago. Mr. Thibodeau let me (and several others) know that he'd bought Sea Hawk by doing S-Turns at low level (I'm sure it was well under 1000' AGL, but you know how that is) and high power over our houses while I was mowing the lawn. At first I didn't know it was him, but I went to the airport the next day and found it.

There's nothing like the sound of a mighty radial, at 8am. :)

Ain't it just too groovy when that kinda stuff happens?

Same thing happened to me last Thursday, 3:24PM... luckily I was putting the new camera through a shakedown before Geneseo, and was able to capture it...

The lead P-40 was Bob Baranaskas', and the other was Jeff Clyman's. Dunno whose SNJ that was...

That's great. I think I'd rather do your yard work than mine...
