Can you just rock up at Precision Aerospace and knock on their door and they let you in for a look and photos etc.? Was thinking of driving past on the way home from Avalon. Can I contact them to see if they are open when I plan to call?

The collection is open to the public as the Pacific Fighterplane Collection (or, according to a different sign, the Pacific Fighter Museum!). I can't recall the exact times but it is pretty much open full-time.
