My Bro Bill took them when my nephew Matthew was able to get him a walk-through.

Any of the B-29? I think it's in the same hangar...

Of course we want more  Thanks for posting these.

The plane looks great. Someone just needs to sneak in there with about 200 jars of Testors Olive Drab and an airbrush & finish painting the fuselage...

Sperry Upper?

Looks great. Got any shots of the Sperry upper or more Spery ball turret shots?

Scott I was hoping you would ask...
Another thread on its way, but alas, they were not allowed inside.

Albert,
Sorry no more Turret pics of ANY flavour! I was hoping for some top turret pics myself.
These are definitely a WYSIWYG from my Brother.
My nephew works for Boeing and I hope to get the cook's tour soon.
I will try and get any details people ask for, as well as what I know we need for TEXAS RAIDERS.

Any views from inside the cockpit or the upper turret?

Unfortunately not!
I don't think they were allowed past the radio room.
If I get there I will try for EVERYTHING that seems to be missing from these. :D

I get a laugh every time I see a B17 or B29 pic with these. Ahhh....those bomber boys! They live the life O' Reiley!! An ash reciever at every station. Even the tail gunner on a 29 could puff away while banging at Zeros! Nowadays, they keep smokers 100yds away from the flightline....back in the day 10 of them puffers were inside those noisy, vapor filled, leaky fire bombs draggin' away on unfiltered Camels!! And Boeing was happy to oblige them....must be something with last rights.

Waco equipped their cabin jobs with the very same Ford part number.

What's even funnier, is it is even the same color gray as in the Ford.

the same ash trays are fitted to the 737,747, 757 and 767! But not on the 777 I supose that was designed when the evil weed was not allowed.

Does that mean the lawyers will go after Boeing after Philip Morris now, for all those suffering smokers?
:? :)

Hi Guys,

I made a trip to the Museum of Flight in April from the UK and was really dissapointed that Boeing Bee wasnt on Display. Upon asking the museum staff, i was told she was in a hanger on boeing field not on public display, the same place shes been for some time. They didnt seem to know why though??

Can anyone answer this question? Why is she not in the public domain as its such a shame - Prob the most beautiful of all the remainign forts! ...and will she never fly again? Is she still able too?

P.s. V jealous of the pics!!

There is a major dispute between the MOF and the Richardson family as to who owns the aircraft. If it goes to the MOF then it will never fly again!

Hey Spanner,

Thanks so much for posting those shots. What a fine example of the Boeing Fort! Any more photos you can add to this thread would be MUCH appreciated. 8)
