According to our Warbird Registry, NL61429 Destroyed by forced landing in trees after suffering catastrophic engine failure, near Bay City Wisconsin, May 29, 2004. Does anyone know if any of this example was recovered.

Yup, should be flying next spring. I was at a recent fundraiser for it.

Did you do ATC in WV? You seem familiar...........

Thanks Mark, I recently acquired a photo of her that was taken in 03 in Midland. I worked at Libby AAF from 87-90 worked fast movers, civil stuff, fire bombers when they came to visit. Thanks for the update, now, does anyone have any "update" Photographs? I am near Tuskegee, they are just about close to finishing up their Museum/Hanger. The City owns a PT-17 that is going to go in there, and I was curious about this particular Stang 8) . Would love to see her in the air. 8)

Thanks for your interest in the Red Tail Project, I've been fortunate to make several trips to Tri-State Aviation to help with the project.
I've put together a thread in the Maintenece hanger on our work.
I'm hoping to make it up to Wahpeton again in September.
