Most Amazing Videos on Spike TV just aired a segment showing the take-off crash of 157U at Perris, CA 5-4-85. If you get a chance to see it do so has it's an amazing tape. The pilot Skip Evans comes up here fairly often to visit a cousin who flies with him. The left prop threw a blade and I think you can imagine the rest. Skip, who didn't know exactly what happened thought the engine blew but he couldn't keep it straight on the runway. He'd get her straight and then she jerk hard to the left. What it was, was the motor bouncing off the runway!!! It was hanging by the control cables. Wild stuff. Here's a couple links.
