Where do they have these "P-51 jet"s?

Hope Chuck won't get in trouble now the cat is out of the bag... lol...

Also, isn't a "conspiracy of silence by thousands"(paraphrase) pretty much just public approval of the action? Maybe he broke someone's rules, but the local people those rules were designed to protect approved. Why don't we have a higher order of understanding for these things!

Later, Boggs interviewed Yeager concerning his space flight. He asked about the bridge incident. "He said, 'Let's not talk about that.' Then he gave me that Chuck Yeager grin."

Well, back in the day the WV ANG had a lot of the rare jet powered P-51s, I think that something like 11 or so current civilian P-51s served with the WVANG. (And I'm sure someone will correct me and post all the serial numbers).

The fly back to California part was interesting. In a P-80, that must have taken a heck of a long time and quite a few fuel stops..........

The good old days.
