It's taken longer to get some more images up of the Brewsters
at NMNA than I would have liked. Below is a link to some shots
of the Buffalo (BW-372) and the Bucaneer. They were taken
11/28/04.

Where did the Buccaneer come from? On the Buffalo, it looks like some
Bloke cut the tail.

Hey Harvard IV, the Buff wasn't cut...the rivets were drilled out , for "ease of transport". (Villard even saved the drilled rivets!).

The skin wasn't cut, no, but the stringers were. Still, if they hadn't done that, the aircraft would probably have been permanently impounded in Russia.

RM, I went back through my materials of the past years in reference to
the search and recovery "saga" of BW-372, and I could not find the reason
that the fuselage was seperated in this way.

As part of the Russian involvement did they have the team "de-militarize"
BW-372 in this way, in order to export from their borders? I know
the original guns were "confiscated", and vaguely remember "weapons
charges" being leveled at the team, when Moscow got involved. Can you
clarify this...my eyes are tired....

....or Owen, you are very familiar with 372...any words?

It is sad that BW-372 could not leave as a complete fuse tub, was there trouble with seperating the wing from the fuse?

Where did the Buccaneer come from?

Excellent they are advancing in the Pekuri's Brewster BW-372.
