Nathan- What do you think? Is this an A-17? If not, what? I'm clueless. The exhaust is impressive.

Ahhhh... I just didn't know what other birds had side exhaust like the A-17. It's pretty mean looking. Do others concur?

Looks like an NA O-47 to me also.

Yep, the O-47 definitely has the side exhaust. Here's a picture of one at the NMUSAF:

hercules130-

I'll look to see. I'm working my way through a collection of about 700-800 photos, all from 1928-1955. They were collected by our original airport manager, and include original signed photos of Amelia Earhart, Charles Lindbergh, Wiley Post, Jimmy Doolittle, Curtis LeMay, Eddie Rickenbacker, Frank Hawks, and lots more folks that most people have never heard of. They are all aviation related in some way, whether pilots or executives or those that were flying through Tulsa's airport. He didn't do too much collecting of specific aircraft, but I'll keep an eye out for more O-47 photos. Nathan had given me some grief about an earlier A-17 photo I posted, thus the question towards him. :)
