Going through some old pic tonight, and I have some of SAAF 7385 unloaded, and going through cleaning and inspection at American Aero in New Symrna Beach, circa 1998. Anyone have a clue what she turned into?

2. Have pics of a Chipmunk at American Aero about the same time looks like "WE___" but not sure. Any ideas?

3. Last for the night....BT-13 or some version of said airframe, with solid green but the cowl, which is green with yellow checkers. The titling on the airframe has Vintage Vibrations, and Freedom Flight America, which I believe was 1995. Photo was taken at Tico 1996.

Sorry not to have the pics to show, just getting the scanner on line. Any ideas or recommendations on finding answers much appreciated.

Nikon and Minolta are good brands, but whatever you do, get one with digital ICE... it will automatically remove any dust and scratches from your negatives and slide film. Digital ROC is also a really good idea if you have any color fading issues too. These won't make a difference if you aren't scanning transparencies of course, but it makes a huge time saving effort, and is well worth the extra bucks you'll spend.

What cleaning you meaning- chemical clening of the negative or digital cleaning of the scaned material?

Dave, the problem is that folks are not sure what your questions are, are you looking for photo cleaning tips or IDs on the aircraft? I assume the latter. I'll try to search my files for you tonight.

Thanks August, yeah, trying to identify these planes as I do not have anything current on them. I have had them for many years, and am just now getting all my older pictures catalogued. That is where the clean up comes from.

Finally got them scanned and up on photobucket. Hope this works. Again, the Bt-13 is at Tico in 1996. The Chipmunk and T-6 are at American Aero about 1997 or 1998. Looking for the serial numbers, tail numbers, or anything else that will let me file these away. Thanks for any help.

Dave, so far I've only had time to look through my Vultee files, and I believe the BT-13 is N13VV. I'll try to have a look for T-6 and Chipmunk this weekend.

I searched the web pretty hard before scanning the pics and putting them up in hope that someone might remember or know about them. I looked all over the American Aero sight, hoping there would be pictures or a list of planes they had done. Guess I could just try to email them and see if they have any information about those planes from way back then.

Your Chipmunk looks like it has the 5 AEF 'flying v' on the fin. Code letter 'T' on the fuselage would make it WP970 which was sold as N970WP.
It is registered to Terence Perkins in Florida.

I used to work on her in the 1970's, as a fresh faced young mechanic with Marshall of Cambridge Engineering.
