Per the Warbirds Directory book:
PBY-5A Bu No 48412 sold surplus 1956 as N10024, later N96R, in Venezuela with various mining companies since 1959, sank after striking sand bar Jan. 1976 and repaired, last owner listed 1993 Italo Compagna/SERVES in Caracas-Maiquetia, Venezuela as YV-485C. Hi, I'm an Spanish pilot. Now I am working in a company who has a PBY5 and PBY6. And it is possible that we need some parts for them. Anybody knows any person who has parts for these planes? Thanks a lot.
In no more than three or four month we are going to flying one of this.
Both are on sale, if anyone is interested could find some photos here.
