It's back, bringing warm feelings to the obsessed.

What, where?

Of course it's a trick question!

Top one is a Vampire lower cowling. Behind it is a Vampire of some denomination or another.

The same cowling would have been fitted to the DH108 - the first British (and largely wooden) aircraft through the sound barrier

Doesnt answer the question - but I guess it might have some bearing on the answer......

I agree with the Vampire engine cover for the first one, the second one is a Bell X-1 replica.

This one maybe?

Both at POF in the old jet hangar?

Well who'd a thunk it?

I can't hide anything from you guys.

Warm feelings all round. I'm not sure where the Bell X-1 replica came from, but it was at the 2007 Avalon airshow.

Possibly. But it's not a metal repro, solid cockpit, probably not old enough.
