How come I never see this on TV? I musta been 8 when I saw it last. Some good flying shots in it! :D

Because the first question about The McConnell Story is Who is McConnell? Now I know the answer as do you and most WIXers but the general public has sadly long forgotten the highest scoring American ace of the Jet age.

A former boss of mine was a cousin of Capt. McConnell, and his dad was also a Naval Aviator. Small world theory at work.

Old Alan did good fighting the Luftwaffe at 30,000' with no O2 and bare hands on the open waist .50 :shock: :idea:
