Don't need a warm feeling, the weather's been lovely here the last few days thanks James.

It's the Kurt Tank-designed Marut in the rather excellent museum at Oberschleissheim, just outside Munich.

Bah. You're no fun, Mike. :P

Maybe you should do the next quiz, to give the others a chance. (Anyway one of 'the usual rules' is "my mate Mike's not allowed to guess because knows 'em all". )

Yup, correct. Lovely looking jet, IMHO.

James,

I wouldn't do a 'Mike' on you. :)

Kurt Tank designed?

What year was this jet designed/ built? I've seen Tank's name on many designs. Quite a variety of types. How long was his post war career?

He designed aircraft including jets in both Argentina and India after the war. Not sure if he continued to design in Germany when that was allowed. Willy Messerschmitt designed in Spain including the HA 200 Saeta.
