P-51C "Lope's Hope 3rd" Serial Number?

P-51C "Lope's Hope 3rd" Serial Number?

For the Mustang experts out there, has anyone been able to crack the mystery behind the serial number of Don Lopez's P-51C? I've been trying to find it, along with hopes of figuring out exactly what make it was, I suspect most likely a P-51C-10-NT. I have some fairly out-dated sources that just say that the serial number and make are unknown, and after searching high and low I haven't been able to come up with anything beyond that. I guess that I am just hopeful that perhaps someone here on WIX may know some more about this particular aircraft. :wink:
