Hi all,

I am headed to Windsor for the weekend of March 7th and wondered if Lancaster FM212 is open to viewing by the public? Also is the Mosquito rebuild in the same building?

Cheers!
Matt

Call the Canadian Historic Aircraft Association at 519-966-9742 . Not sure if they're normally open to the public but you might be able to make an appointment to see the aircraft.

I visited Windsor one year ago.

The Mosquito was in a different hangar.

The Lancaster was housed inside of a -for lack of a better word- "temporary" hangar.

I asked and was allowed to visit the Lancaster, as well as allowed to take photos of the Mosquito and other aircraft in two other hangars there.

Good luck!

Saludos,

Tulio

I haven't presonaly gone over to see it yet, other than at the open house. It says on the Website that you can go over on Saturdays between 10-1 (I think that's the time) when it is being worked on. A few people I know have gone on Saturday's and have been let in and were able to tour the hanger and check out the Lanc and Mosquito.

The Lancaster is still outside in a tempoary hanger and the Mosquito is in the main hanger. Right now the Lanc isn't being worked on much outside because it's been so cold. They have been working on the engines though. Haven't heard anything about the Mosquito lately.

I'm sure if you give them a call they can give you more info.

I might be going over to check out the work being done this Saturday or next Saturday.

Ryan

Thanks Rhino, I was able to find their website. I'll check it out with them.

Any WIXers in here working on that project?
