That's too bad, it looked really good in French markings.

Actually, he sold the Corsair and bought the Bearcat.

I read in the Warbirds International yesterday that it was a complex three way trade.

It also said that the Corsair would be going to Pennsylvania and there was a statement from Ray saying that one of the first things he would do with the Bearcat was put it in American markings.

Mint posted on here some time ago asking for Marine Bearcat photos but only two training squadrons flew them so I can't imagine their markings just being the most attractive things.

Sorry Rob, I was asked to not reveal the owner's name. Time will tell.

The link to Ray's corsair has been disabled on purpose, however. Since it has been sold I will be reinstating the entry in the next few days.

For the wondering minds that just can not take it...!!! The Corsair was sold, and the Bearcat was bought. The Corsair is now on it's way to her new home. Marine's Dream left California today and should be in Texas for the night now. You will meet the new owner soon, and keep your eye's on POF Airshows as we will have his name there as well. Plus he is going to keep the www.marinesdream.com as well. The Bearcat will be in the states soon, and you will be able to read all about it in Air Classics and Warbirds International, as it come's off the Boat. The plans are to fly the Bearcat to Chino for inspection, and readied for Airshow season 2005. Ray will have the Bearcat at the Chino Show and will then head back here to the East to join the other Fighters for the rest of the season. The POF Airshows.com will be back soon, thanks to Doug and Mark. Doug and Mark, everything here at the home front is still in the same cruizing mode as before keeping the pressure and temp. down. Those Mustangs sure are tempermental.
