Fri Feb 11, 2005 11:33 pm

The 6th Annual Biplanes & Taildraggers Fly-In will be held on March 19th and 20th. Heritage Airfield (TE86) is located in New Berlin, TX (Between San Antonio and Seguin). This event is open to the public. If you plan to arrive by aircraft, you must RSVP to 830-420-2573. For driving directions or further info please email: theairfield@hotmail.com.

If you've ever wanted to spend a weekend flying off a 3100' silky smooth grass strip, eating Texas brisket, listening to fighter "Aces" tell stories of thier adventures, or watch Stearmans and other nostalgic aircraft flypast. Please come out and join us for some fun.

Saturday, will be a day with the "Aces" - WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. Information on the program, and a list of honored guests and thier speaking times will be posted soon.

Looking forward to a great turn out from the WIXers.

Two of our Distinguished Guest Speakers have 5.5 and 8 aerial victories to their names and through the course of combat action became POWs. The first person flew with the 357th FG and the second person flew with the 4th FIW.

Tell me their full names and the rank at which they retired. Be the first person to respond with the correct answer, and I’ll send you a Fly-in t-shirt.

Good Luck and have fun.

Warren
