Great pics!

I noticed that the shots of SSSB show her with unpainted props. I wonder if they were swapped for non-airworthy units when she was put in the museum?

I'd like a ride in the 262 as soon as Collings gets theirs! Would like to see it with 909 and Wichcraft. I think as a gift to my self for finishing my CFI I'm going to treat my self to a ride in one of them when they come through my area.

Cool pictures.

On the ME-262 pic I get the feeling it was flying pretty slow, considering it's slats are partially extended.

Yes, Wolfgang is going really slow as the B-24 isn't known as a speed record breaker, Wolf also flies tighter formation than that in the 104 he flies with the STARFIGHTERS.

You know thats funny I don't remember taking note of SSSB's props since its been in the Museum. Are they black? or still silver? thanks guys...I'm going through photos to start putting together a book. Probably two years out yet but gotta start sometime! I have over 200,000 photos from the last 7 years of touring with Collings alone!

Awesome pics. THat is odd about the props. They are black for sure, and have been for many years. I wonder if that was the case of airworthy props used just for that flight?

SSSB props are painted in those pics, the first one the engines are running and the sun is over the photogs shoulder, so they were getting direct sun, making them appear to be grey. the first photo was after they shut down, and the props are black in that pic
