Trying to make contact with a Bill Dody or Bill Doty, BT-13 owner or operator near Asheboro, NC. Can't find on the internet. Can you help?

Don't know the guy, but a good place to do your inquiries would be the former Peddycord Foundation for Aircraft Conservation (PFAC) museum in Asheboro; now I believe it is called the North Carolina Aviation Museum. A simple Google search will bring the links for you.

I can't find anyone named Doty or Dody in the FAA database associated with a BT-13 (or an SNV).

Bill sold the BT, but I don't know where he is.

I'm relatively new to the forum, so excuse me for adding a comment after so much time has passed.

I don't know Bill Doty, but I remember his BT-13 from when it spent some time in a hangar near where I used to work (KBUY). One of the guys that I work with now did know Bill and got to fly it. He tells me that it was N213BD, s/n 2514.

Current FAA registration for N213BD is:

I was looking into this subject on my own anyway because I was interested in seeing if there were any BT-13's anywhere near me that I could check out. For some reason, each of the three BT-13's still registered in NC are listed as "Status: Revoked" - is that a coincidence or is there soemthing else going on here? Anybody have any ideas?

I think he flew over my house a couple of days ago. Very nice BT-13. I've seen him around several times lately enjoying the beautiful weather we have down here. He also flew over the military vehicle show in Belleview last month.
