Thunderbirds are a go!

USAF is to announce shortly that the Thunderbirds display team will be visiting Australia for first time ever next year in Queensland.

First visit ever to oz .. i know they went to Neu Zilend in 1950s with F-84s as i recall.

Crying shame they didnt bring their F-100s and F-4E Phantoms in old days.. much more charm in those warbirds..

Must have been a real adventure to go that far over deep water in an F-84 back when long range nav was pretty much 'I can see about 25 miles' but can't get anything on LORAN
