Going North on US-67 from Little Rock, AR yesterday, I found a couple of new aircraft to add to my collection of images:
Jacksonville Museum of Military History
100 Veterans Circle
Jacksonville, AR
(501) 241 - 1943
According to what DannaKay Duggar (Coordinator) told me, they moved the F-105 three months ago, from Camp Robinson, in North Little Rock, to its present location on the museum grounds. They will install the airplane off the ground, in the very near future, and SE Asia cammo and markings will be applied.
Given the location so close to the street, the pitot is already bent, probably hit by a passing vehicle. The airplane is in need of some TLC, there is corrosion and there are missing panels, but soon enough it will look great once again.
F-105: 56-3261
34 52' 01.28" N
92 07' 20.80" W
They have also secured a Hercules C-130, and originally it was going to be flown from Little Rock AFB, to Davis Monthan, and then trucked to the museum. Wisdom prevailed, and now the airplane sits just three miles away, and the museum is trying to secure funding and manpower to move the airplane to the museum grounds.
Future location for the C-130

The museum has a nice assortment of memorabilia related to the wars, has a collection of 350 original WW-II posters, there are parts of a control room for a Titan (?) ICBM, plus uniforms, weapons, maps, photos, books, etc., mostly connected to military events taking place in the Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas area.
Pocahontas, AR
The Black River Technical College, located at the Pocahontas Airport (just off US-67) has an A-7 Corsair (153150) wearing VA-22 markings, that I already reported a couple of years back.
Different this time, the weather was not cold, it wasn't raining and there was no flooding whatsoever. : )

I also found a Sikorsky S-61 (the only numbers visible were BR03251)
