I haved started a review of the locations of displayed aircraft in the United States. I have no particular order in mind, so I decided to go alphabetically starting with Alabama. For a listing of displayed (in some cases stored) aircraft in in this state go to...
ImageAerial Visuals Locator Search - Alabama

I am also hoping will get get some contriutors uploading photos of these aircraft. See my post from earlier today regarding how to upload photos to the Locator...

My "need help" list is provided below. I look forward to any information anyone on WIX can provide.

Regards,

Mike

EDIT: The Need Help list has been moved to a more recent post.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Your one listing in Mobile, is that the only one you have listed for Mobile? There is the Battleship Alabama Museum with a good collection

Oops, Never mind, I see this is just a "need help with" list not the whole thing

There is an F-86 outside at Battleship Park.
Is that what you're thinking about?

Thanks Owen. I have removed the reference to the Fury. I think the T-33 is actually a TV-1 (splitting hairs).

No problem. The first link in my post provides the list for all of Alabama, "Need Helps" and all.

I don't think so. I think the Fury reference was just very old data.

Thanks for the help. I have also received so help via the website directly. It has shortened the need help list.

#1 - Birmingham, Birmingham Airport, ANG - 117th ARW ANG - At the Birmingham Airport there may be a UH-1 stored on the National Guard ramp (see Site D). Can you confirm it is still there? If so where exactly is it?

#2 - Dothan - There are, or were, two L-29s at the Dothan airport. Are they static or active? The identity of one airframe is known, what is the other.

ImageAerial Visuals - Location Dossier - Cairns AAF, Alabama - AH-1, H-58, UH-1

#6 - Enterprise, Fort Rucker, Guthrie AAF - Apparently the United States Army Aviation Museum has a number of aircraft in storage at a Guthrie AAF somewhere in the greater Fort Rucker. Can you confirm? If so where exactly are they? At the very least Aerial Visuals would like to know where Fort Rucker is. One of the C-12s at Site A is thought to be 73-22250, but this is not a valid C-12 serial number. What is the correct ID of this airframe?

Thanks! I created a new location...

Should I be placing the marker closer to the road? Unfortunately the current coordinates drop me in the woods.

Right next to the road. On the north side of it.
May have been zoomed out to far accuracy.
The cursor now shows it to be 31.431930 -87.098574
