I recently inquired about the price for a Hellcat's throttle quadrant, and was quoted a price near $1,000.00 for it.

I know they must be rare, and since I don't know the market for Hellcat parts, I wanted to ask those who know here, what are the average prices for such a piece? [Keeping in mind that the owner can ask whatever he wants for his property, of course.]

Saludos,

Tulio

Dan, I appreciate your taking the time to find the information!!!!

I wanted to buy the throttle quad and donate it to a museum in South America, but frankly the price is beyond what I am willing to spend at this time of the year.

Thanks again!

Saludos,

Tulio

$1000 is way, way too expensive. Should be in the sub-$500. Did the retailer have the initials, RH, by any chance?

Cheers,
Richard

...and has advertised the same exact stuff on Barnstormers for 10 years, with the same exact ridiculous prices?

Tulio, Curtiss Aldrich of Aviation Antiques sold just sold a F6F T-Quad in recent months that was in the $500 range if I remember correctly, $1K is waaaaay to much for something like that!
