Anybody got any ideas of where I can start with trying to trace the history of our Nanchang CJ-6A? I can't see the Chinese gov being real interested in helping. :?

Wow,

that's a really good question, and I agree with you that I figure the Chinese government won't be too likely to help you.

Good luck.

Cheers,

David

Very hard to regret. Simply they are so closed and only way is to go in China. What I have hear from people there is that aviation is very developed and they have a lot of books and publications and muesum is credited as one of the best. Maybe first step is to go in the nearest Embassy and they will for sure direct you. Maybe you should be a little boring but this could be way to go.

Nanchang aircraft factory was always very helpful but extemely slow. See if Jim Goolsby at Red star pilots association can put you in touch with designer Bushi Cheng. he may not be able to help too much but can for sure point you in the right direction.
