I am very much more a B-17 & B-29 guy when it comes to bombers, but in 45 years of reading I don't recall ever seeing this! I just stumbled upon it in ebay. A B-24 with a jet nozzle in the tail....

Maybe its an age/memory thing.

Imagine being the pilot of an FW-190 or Me-109 flying up behind THAT! :shock: "Himmel! AAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!! Break AVAY!!!" and proceeding to roll the wings off the plane trying to get away from the B.F. Gun...

Looks like that aircraft must have been around a while, as the E-bay photo shows it in late war markings, and the photo Dan K found it has USAF markings.
