The B-17 & B-24 will continue touring the nation yearly as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour and will continue to be maintained during winter maintenance in Florida. There are no plans to permanently base the aircraft in any location at this time.

They will be making a visit to Ellington Field on April 1-4, 2005 as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour, but will leave and continue after that.

Personally I think they need to keep them at Stow, I'm sure we can find some chainsaws to deal with those pesky trees.

Been there, done that! I was flying off a short strip and the farmer would not cut the trees at the end so we did a raid at night and put permakill at the base of the offending trees and cut all the bark off around the base. Killed e'm all! the farmer was really mad. When he asked who did it it was kind of like this   That goood old Navy training put to good use!
