Russell Military Museum in Illinois.
I don't know about the history, but passed by the museum on Tuesday with my son. Now he wants us to ride there, so when it happens, I'll ask.

I have a number of other photos of aircraft that I there. I will post some tonight unless BDK has some additional pics to share.

Cool, not 1 but 5 Hueys in the same place!! Do they all belong to the museum?

BDK it's interesting I have almost the same photo as you except the weeds are shorter and the plexi not broken.

Viking73, I recall seeing at least one more Huey on the grounds. There are also quite a few other helicopters as well.

There are also some fixed wing aircraft, some less than complete. Unfortunately it seems that the collection has grown faster than the ability to preserve it.


A large part of the museum is tanks and other armor.

I will see about posting more tonight when I have more time.

Interesting......I always thought the T-38's wings had more sweep to them than that.

I think the wings flap on that one!
