The October 2009 Desktop Calendars are now available from the Warbird Depot website; http://www.warbirddepot.com/desktop_calendars.asp along with new Mobile Phone Wallpapers; http://www.warbirddepot.com/photo_mobile_wallpapers.asp ,

This month includes:

1. Dick Janitell's Centaurus powered Hawker Sea Fury FB.11, being flown by Dennis Sanders, overhead the Sanders Aeronautics facility at Eagles Nest airport in Ione, CA.

2. Vintage Wings of Canada’s Canadair Sabre 5 “Hawk One”, being flown by Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield, at the 2009 Windsor International Airshow.

3. Jack Croul's North American P-51D Mustang, being flown by Brant Seghetti, over the Sonoma County hills at the 2008 Wings over Wine County Airshow in Santa Rosa, CA.

4. Tony Banta flying his North American P-51D Mustang “Kimberly Kaye” at the 2008 Planes of Fame Airshow in Chino, CA.

5. A trail formation of four North American P-51D Mustangs, being lead by Mark Huffstutler in "Glamorous Glen III", at the 2007 Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in Columbus, OH.

6. Biltema’s Supermarine Spitfire FR XVIII, being flown by Rod Dean, during the 2009 Flying Legends Airshow in Duxford, England.

7. Chris Rounds flying his Canadair T-33 Silver Star “The Red Knight”, with Henry Coffeen in the rear cockpit, over Lake Travis during the 2007 Moonlight Fund Airshow out of New Braunsfels, TX.

8. Willy Sage is seen flying his Piper Pacer in the Wairau Valley area in Marlborough, New Zealand during an actual bush landing. The aircraft has been extensively modified and has sea plane doors, 180hp engine, 31 inch tundra tires, and a strengthened tail wheel.

9. An impressive flypast of the Avro Vulcan XM649 during the 1971 Abbotsford International Airshow in Abbotsford, BC.

10. John Penney rounding pylon #2 in Rod Lewis' Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat “Rare Bear” at the 2009 Reno National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.

11. Chuck Greenhill taking off in his beautifully restored Grumman G-21A Goose at his home base of Kenosha, WI.

12. John McClenaghan and Mike Vella flying the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Consolidated Canso A “Mary K.” enroute to the 2008 Brantford Airshow.

All desktop Calendars and Wallpapers are available in 1600x1200, 1280x1024, 1024x768 formats and 1920x1200, 1680x1050, 1280x800 Wide Screen formats. The instructions for loading any of the desktop calendar or wallpaper selections are located below the thumbnails on the applicable page.

BEAUTIFUL as usual I love the Hawk One Sabre and the Red Knight T-33 especially. Thanks!
