I would like to see an airshow called something along the lines of "Merlin Fest". What would you want to see there? I'd want a Mosquito, and a Hurricane, I have yet to see either one fly in person.

Sounds interesting. Another idea would be to do a "home front" show honoring the training and home defense units from WWII. Get less familiar things like Cessna Bobcats and that kind of lesser-known aircraft, a bunch of trainers (not too expensive, right?) and L-birds together, maybe a few representative advanced aircraft and a few bombers and fighters and have a time honoring all of the vets who successfully trained an air force capable of defeating the Axis. I'd suggest Texas for the location...

I think when I ran a survey, originally in Warbirds Wordwide, we came up with 47 distinct types powered by the Merlin engine.

...most of which aren't taking airshow booking, sadly.

However, there's a good dozen Hurris flying now, including one or two you can buy, if the fancy takes you. Also the progress on Jerry Yagen's Mosquito is going well, and that'll be worth seeing!
