Here are a few photos from yesterday's taxi run at East Kirkby.

There was just one Lancaster run, but there was the added bonus of an excellent display of MJ627 by Paul Day. The light was fading by the time the wind dropped and the Spitfire came out, which resulted in pretty dark photos. I set up my camera in a location that usually gives a good view of the engine start-up only to watch the Lanc being towed out to the turning point to be fired up there. Net result, no start-up photos.

I'd urge people to put East Kirkby on their list of places to visit in the UK, it really is a great living memorial to Bomber Command. Here's a list of the taxi run dates http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/information.cfm

Thanks very much for the comments. I'm back up at East Kirkby for a couple of runs followed by an evening with the BBMF at Coningsby on the 23rd March so more Lancaster and Spitfire photos to follow.
