I was recently reminded of a little known group....little known to me that is...no doubt some of you will know it, to others it might come as a surprise something of a CAF of the Vietnam-era.
The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation owns and flies a number of historic fixed and rotary-wing types used by the US Army in the 50s-70s.
Their collection includes a rare military marked De Havilland Canada Caribou and Grumman Mohawk...as well as Huey and Corba and other helicopters.

They put on a good show. I saw them at the Nation Warplane Museum in Elmire NY a few years back.

It nice to see a cobra around. I was very said when our NG unit dropped the UH-1 & AH-1 for UH-60s.

I've heard they put on a show to be rivaled only by the Marine Assault demo at Miramar. I wish they were closer to me out West!
