just looked at ezell's web-site
http://www.ezellaviation.com/page7.html and there's a pic of Sprit of Texas on a tralier. does anyone know what happened at Reno? Fury [with nelson] and Bearcat [with howard] were in the gold race on sunday, but i guess SOT had troubles.

SOT was making metal early in the week. I hope they come back next year.

Yes, they took the wings and prop off and put it on the specialized jig and Chapman hauled it back.
Dan its not being worked on yet those pics are pre Reno when we pulled the wings to try and reseal them as they are wet.I would imagine that when the engine gets ready to ship we'll start pulling stuff off.

Stew had a rather unpleasant sneeze while on a qualifying run Wednesday. After a thorough check it was found that the number 13 cylinder was getting ready to head south. He made the decision to park the airplane due to "The rest of the engine having gone to the same party"
His daughter has put together a website for the airplane as follows and should be able to post updates as they come available.

Nice shots you got there Tim!! I love the paint job that he's put on that airplane. I had a chance to jump a ride in Spirit of Texas with Stew before the paint job....HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!

Just the force pushing you back into the seat on take off... WOW!
