Just saw this on the news . It looks like another storm is heading towards the Gulfcoast and is due to hit somewhere between the Mississippi and Florida Coasts.

Do the battleship Alabama and Pennsacola museums have a storm plan to put into effect if this grows into a catagory 3 or more?

I've been watching closely, being on the Gulf Coast. Ida is getting ripped apart and downgraded as she heads North. She has dropped from a cat 2 to ONLY a Tropical Storm since the last update. Still a danger, high winds, lots of rain. Pretty sure most shore installations have a storm plan in place aren't too worried about this one. A cat 3 WOULD be a major issue. It would be interesting to hear just what the plans are for USS Alabama Museum and the Naval Aviation Museum if and when should a major head their way again.

She is still packing 70 mph winds, headed to somewhere between Mobile and P-cola, so I imagine everything is getting lashed down tight or moved indoors where-ever possible. Even that "light" a wind can do nasty things to static birds that want to fly!!! Our local USCG 60 just plucked a fisherman and his dog off his disabled boat 50 miles out in heavy seas. Not a good day in the Gulf.
