Does anyone know if John Alford is still around?

John was a Tigercat firebomber pilot out of Santa Rosa in the early '70's, and I think he was also a Pan Am Captain. His wife Joan flew a Formula 1 named "Pogo" at Reno for a couple of years too.

John and Lloyd Hamilton raced the On-Mark Invader #16 (I think it is now the Gator Invader???) at the 1971 Mojave 1000 km race.

Brad -- I know Bill Johnson lives near you, and he might be able to help. A decade ago when he was working up his never published air racing history book he was trying to contact all sorts of people formerly associated with the sport...
