There's a nice little museum in Valpo if you get that far west.

I haven't made it up there in a couple years. Does anybody know where the Corsair went?

The new owners of the F4U-5 are in Kalamazoo, Lansing MI and Greenwood MS.
It moves between these locations as weather & airshows dictate.

There's a T-33 and a helicopter, I think a Huey that were at South Bend last time I was down there. There also the Indiana Aviation Museum in Valparaiso but I think they're only open during the summer.

Auburn has some cool stuff to see and is probably a little over an hour's drive from Elkhart. There's the Hooiser Air Musem and WWII Victory Museum, plus if you're into cars there's the Aubrun-Cord-Dusenburg Museum. I've heard the Garrett Historical Railroad Museum is pretty cool too.

Would that be Jim Read's old dash 5?

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

The F-105 that was in Kokomo in that junk yard has been cut up. Only the cockpit area is left.

Do not know if it is too late or not, but Seymour is 188 miles from Elkhart. Freeman Field Museum, Golden Age Aeroplane Works, and a derelict Convair 240! Awesome trip if you are interested send me a PM and I will try and set you up with contacts.

Hey Chris...I am sure Mr Henninger has these listed already, but...

Sad looking F-84 behind the VFW post in South Whitley (I posted pix here a couple of years ago)
IIRC, an F-86 in front of the Coliseum in Fort Wayne.
"Our" (Grissom Air Museum) F-104 in front of the Huntington Airport. Last pix I saw on here of it was that it was not being ver well cared for at all! If you could get that back to Grissom, you would certainly make some people there very happy :D
Bell museum down in Mentone has a tired looking Huey out front.

All I can think of off the top of my head...still diggin out from the big snowstorm of '09!
