Please keep B-17 Pilot, Roy Test in your prayers. Roy was seriously injured recently and is in the hospital. I don't know a lot about his current condition, but I know he can use all our prayers.

I'm not familiar with him. Can you give some background info? What was the accident?

I'm wishing him a fast and speedy recovery!

I don't have any details other than the fact that it was very serious and last I heard, he was in intensive care.

Roy was a 398th Pilot/Co-pilot with the 602nd Squadron. He flew in 32 bombing missions in 77 days up to and including D-day in 1944.

I'll have to see if I can find more information to share. Roy was a frequent visitor and supporter of Planes of Fame. He would bring out much of his memorabilia to display on our event days.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Ellen and I are praying for his recovery, Cindy.

We met Mr. Test at Newton, Kansas a few years back at a fly-in. We had a nice long visit and we really enjoyed talking with him. He was wearing his dress uniform from WWII and it fit him perfectly!

Thank you for posting this,
Scott

I think Mr. Test is featured in the documentary B-17 Flying Legend. I hope he has a full recovery.

More info...
Roy is in good spirits and is fighting hard to recover. He has a lengthy recovery time (at least 3 months), but is hanging tough. Please keep the prayers coming! We all want to see this wonderful vet make a full recovery.

I am deeply saddened to pass along that Roy Test passed away this afternoon. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones. I saw Roy this morning and, though in some pain from his injuries, his mind was clear.
Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers - it means a lot to the family.

I will miss seeing Roy Test, his display and camper when the 'birds make their way out here. I always made sure to stop by and say hi.

Blue skies Roy.
