Hi Everyone,
A Winjeel attended the CAF Airsho 09 as a static display. The aircraft is
headed to Australia or may already be there by now. I'd like to find out
which Winjeel this is and who the current owner is.
Thanks for any help!

This would almost certainly be Mark Awad's SoCal-based example N107PJ. I believe he was planning on moving to Australia and taking the Winjeel with him. It was de-registered in the US in October.
Sad to see it go, it made an unusual sight at SoCal airshows over the past couple of years.

That's it! Thanks Mike, I do remember hearing that it had come from CA.

AFAIK, it was the only airworthy Winjeel outside Australasia.

Australasia is a region of Oceania: Australia, New Zealand, the island of New Guinea, and neighbouring islands in the Pacific Ocean.
Geopolitically, Australasia is sometimes used as a term for Australia and New Zealand together, in the absence of another word limited to those two countries.

Ah yes, New Zealand, the land of "the long white cloud", where men are men and sheep are plentiful!
There are many jokes, but this's not the place.
Actually, I misread the report as being Australia. Easy to do when one's tired.
Great to see Mark's machine heading back.
