I’m trying to get information on USAAF/USAF personnel who were stationed in Honduras at one point in time, and would like to contact the Air Force or DoD department that may keep records on personnel who were in active service during the 1940s and 1950s.

One of them, a Captain Howard Cleveland was member of the USAF Mission to Honduras serving as advanced flight instructor with the Honduran Air Force during the early 1950s. Word is that during WWII he flew P-38s & P-61s in the Pacific theater, possibly then with the rank of Lieutenant.
Other than a few personal recollections from surviving FAH personnel, very little information on Capt. Cleveland (and others) has been found in FAH archives, unfortunately.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hope for the Best, plan for the Worst
