I was assigned to 3 different G-model BUFFs during my hitch in the Air Force but none of my pictures survived. I'm looking for pictures of 58-0232, 58-0235, and 59-2566. I'm continually impressed by the resources folks here can draw upon. The time frame would be 1968 through 1971. The link below will take you to an image of 235 that I'm unable to post here.

The camoflage paint scheme and the lack of EVS chin fairings are correct for all 3 planes. I'd also be interested in seeing what other pictures you can come up with for any of these planes.
Here are a few other links to pictures of these planes:

And finally, here are 2 pictures I took of 235 and 566 in November of 2009.

In an effort to not let this just vanish into the sunset, here's another picture of 566.
Image
This picture was taken by another Crew Chief who was assigned to 566 about 6 years after I was. He took the picture about 10 years after he got discharged, and sent it to the USAF. It's now in the public domain. I've seen reference to 566 having nose art for "Steel Dragoon" or "Steel Dragon" while assigned to Griffiss AFB and maybe that's what's located under the pilot's window. I've also seen reference to 566 having nose art called "Wild Potato". If anybody has pictures of the any nose art for 566, or the other two BUFFs mentioned, I'd sure like to see it.

I probably have images of some or all of these jets in my slide archive, I'll check it out and see and report back in a couple of days.

Ok, it's not one of the tail numbers your looking for, but here are some of my old BUF.

OK, here are the pics I could find of 2/3 of the jets you were CC on. Sorry for the annoying tags in the images, trying to be respectful of where I got these pics from. Hope you understand.

Oh Lordy Greg. Those are really wonderful pictures. The second one of 566 dated 1971 has to be when I was C/C on her. I was chief from Oct 70 till Dec 71. That picture had to be from Mather (home base), or Mt Home (satellite alert), or maybe March AFB, (static display) in April of 71. I can't think of any other base we would have been at during that time frame. I have folks who have been following this search for years and years, wait till they get a load of this. Many thanks, Greg.
Mike
