This Phrog has a number of different upgrades I've never seen before. Chaff and flare pods under the cockpit behind the nose gear. 2 new antenna mounts over the cockpit windows and 1 under the cockpit in front of the nose gear (almost look like some kind of cable cutters, but i cant imagine they'd be that light). Looks like 2 new equipment mounts on the top of the cabin (2 more on the other side?). And some sort of new installation on the lower fuselage behind the cabin door. Are these going on all the existing 46's or did I manage to catch the test-bed phrog from HMX-1? Moderators; if I'm in the wrong forum, please move this where it's supposed to go, thanks.

This really should go in the "Military Matters" forum, but I'm sure someone will move it if it's really an issue. :)

The items over the cockpit windows and in front of the nose gear are wire cutters. Standard design, look at any Kiowa Warrior to see the same ones. Most Hueys have them too.

It's been a while since I've been up-close to a french, so I can't say for sure, but the mounts on top of the fuse look like satellite receivers, so possibly both a TACSAT hookup and a GPS receiver.
