I just noticed my Internet Explorer window tab for WIX has a Democrat Donkey icon? What's up with that?

I thought we generally stayed away from politics? I'm just wondering..... :axe: :Hangman:

My IE8 shows the new WIX logo - the one at the top left of the page header. So does Firefox.

Hmmm.....that's not good if it's just me! Especially since I'm not a Democrat! Must be a left wing virus!

Does it replace the WIX 'pony'?

(Actually, if you look close, it is half donkey & half elephant).

It's because IE is donkey powered. :lol:

Not on Firefox.

The image is what is called a favicon. If you view the source of a WIX page you will see a line of code like this around line 21:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.warbirdinformationexchange.org/favicon.ico">

This is supposed to tell your browser what small image icon to display in the URL window - in this case favicon.ico. Here is what I see for that file:

If you search in Google for various combinations of "wrong favicon displayed" or similar, you will see suggestions that your browser or Internet temp files may be corrupt and need to be cleaned out. I had something similar happen recently when I couldn't delete some sites from IE's history, and had to reset back to defaults. Hope this is some help.

Randy

To be clear my avator is a "jackass", please don't insult me by suggesting that has anything to do with "Democrat". :D :shock:
